DJ Fähnlein Fahne 11/541

Here is my complete set of a DJ Fähnlein Fahne. I don't know the location of this unit, but I'm sure one or more of you guys know it - please help me out.

What a wonderful set. Many congrats again Frank. Have you recently bought this one as it looks familiar. The Jungbann is Ried im Innkreis, Gebiet 29 Oberdonau.

Yes, a very recent purchase. I just got it last week. This set was shown by the previous owner on another forum some time ago.

This set is very nice, it all belongs together - flag, pole, pole top. All the pole rings are original attached, nothing resewn. It's very difficult to find a flag with all the pole rings still attached. Many times the top pole ring is missing because the "Liberator" ripped the flag from its pole.
The pole on this set is RZM marked.

Garry, your Fähnlein flag is from militaria321.com, right? I considered that one also.

Yes, I know the previous owner Frank. Well, all I can say is congratulations on a great set!

Yes, mine came from Mil321. As you'll know, these flags seldom come up for sale so I was glad to have been able to get mine. Obviously I'd prefer one with pole and pole top though!

complete flag sets are very rare and I'm glad I found this DJ flag set, because these DJ flags are in my opinion a lot more rare than the HJ Gefolgschaftsflags. And besides the DJ Bannflags these DJ Fähnleinflags are the only 3rd Reich political unit flags which are black. The SS Rune-flag is not a unit flag because they don't have unit numbers on them, the SS Unit flags, the Sturmbannflags were the reguar political corner patch flag style.

Does anyone know, why only the DJ used black flags instead of the regular red/white and black political flags?

have you any parts of an ERWACHE standard..i seem to remember the strings/ top/ name box were up for sale a while back. i must search for some pictures as i hoard everything on my harddrive , no wonder my computer goes slow sometimes
